Updated
What do you need before you start?
You need a Mindbody site, a Google account, and Gemini CLI. StudioVector holds the Mindbody connection. You approve it from your account after you subscribe.
Mindbody tools stay unavailable until the plan is paid and a site is connected. Today the tools do not book classes, edit client records, or send email.
How do you connect Gemini CLI?
Add https://studiovector.io/mcp to Gemini CLI with one command, then run /mcp auth to sign in with Google. Every studio uses this URL. Use the same Google account you used on StudioVector.
- Sign in. Sign in with Google. That creates your account.
- Subscribe. Pick Solo, Starter or Growth and pay. Enterprise is Talk to us.
- Connect a Site ID. Enter your Mindbody Site ID, then approve the activation code in Mindbody. We never ask for your Mindbody password.
- Add the link. Add https://studiovector.io/mcp in Claude or ChatGPT. Every studio uses this URL. Sign in with Google when it asks.
How do you add the link in Gemini CLI?
Google documents remote MCP servers for Gemini CLI, its command-line tool, so these steps use it. If your Gemini app lets you add a custom MCP server, the same link and Google sign-in apply.
Sign-in needs a browser on the same machine. It does not work in a headless or most remote SSH sessions.
- Add the server. In a terminal, run this command.
gemini mcp add --transport http mindbody https://studiovector.io/mcp - Or edit settings.json. You can add the same server by hand. Use httpUrl, the key for a streamable HTTP server.
{ "mcpServers": { "mindbody": { "httpUrl": "https://studiovector.io/mcp" } } } - Sign in. Run /mcp auth, choose the Mindbody server, and sign in with Google in the browser window that opens.
What can Gemini CLI do with Mindbody?
Gemini CLI can look up clients, classes, sales, attendance and memberships, and it can rank who may not renew or who could take an open spot. Every Mindbody request costs 1 credit.
What can't Gemini CLI do with Mindbody?
Right now, Gemini CLI cannot book classes, edit client records, or send email through StudioVector. It answers when you ask. It does not watch your site and message you when something changes.
It can draft a message or an invite for you to send yourself.
What do you do if Gemini CLI cannot reach your Mindbody data?
Start with the message the tool returns: it says what is missing and what to do next. Then check these common causes.
- Gemini CLI says the server needs authentication
- Run /mcp auth, choose the Mindbody server, and finish the Google sign-in in your browser. Sign-in needs a local browser that can receive a redirect on localhost, so it does not work in a headless or most remote SSH sessions.
- Gemini CLI lists no Mindbody tools
- In settings.json, use httpUrl for a streamable HTTP server such as https://studiovector.io/mcp. The url key is for SSE servers.
- The tools say no studio is connected
- Connect your Mindbody Site ID from Sites in your account. Only an account owner or admin can do it. When it is done, ask Gemini CLI again. You do not need to remove and re-add the connection.
- The tools say there is no active subscription
- The account owner subscribes or renews on the pricing page. Then ask again. The connection stays as it is.
- The tools say you are not part of an account
- Sign in with the Google account that belongs to your studio's StudioVector account. If your studio already uses StudioVector, ask the account owner to add the email of that Google account.
- Sites shows Waiting for approval
- The studio's business owner has to approve the connection in Mindbody. They open the activation link and sign in with the owner login, or enter the activation code under Manager Tools → Mindbody Add Ons → API Integrations. Then choose Check status on Sites.
- The activation request expired
- A request that nobody approves expires. Submit the Site ID again to start a new one.
- Sites shows Needs review
- Some connections are checked by us before they are granted. Email contact@22labs.io with the Site ID.
- Gemini CLI says the credits for this period are used
- Your plan includes a monthly amount of credits, and 1 credit is 1 Mindbody request. When they are used up, Mindbody tools stop answering until the period renews or the plan changes. The account_overview tool shows credits used and left.
What should you ask Gemini CLI first?
Ask how sales compared by location, or which clients may not renew. Gemini CLI calls the StudioVector tool and answers from your site.
To link the activation code to your studio, follow Mindbody's guide to setting up an API integration. For a plan question, email contact@22labs.io.

Does this work in the Gemini app?
