How do you connect ChatGPT to Mindbody?
You connect ChatGPT to Mindbody in StudioVector by signing in with Google, subscribing, connecting your Site ID, and adding https://studiovector.io/mcp in ChatGPT. Every studio uses that URL. You do not create or paste a Mindbody API key.

What do you need before you start?
You need a Mindbody site, a Google account, and ChatGPT. StudioVector holds the Mindbody connection. You approve it from your account after you subscribe.
Mindbody tools stay unavailable until the plan is paid and a site is connected. Today the tools do not book classes, edit client records, or send email.
How do you connect ChatGPT?
Add https://studiovector.io/mcp in ChatGPT, then sign in with Google when ChatGPT asks. Every studio uses this URL. The screen ChatGPT uses to add a remote server can change.
- Sign in. Sign in with Google. That creates your account.
- Subscribe. Pick Solo, Starter or Growth and pay. Enterprise is Talk to us.
- Connect a Site ID. Enter your Mindbody Site ID, then approve the activation code in Mindbody. We never ask for your Mindbody password.
- Add the link. Add https://studiovector.io/mcp in Claude or ChatGPT. Every studio uses this URL. Sign in with Google when it asks.
How do you add the link in ChatGPT?
ChatGPT adds a remote MCP server from its Plugins page. Whether you can add one depends on your plan and, in a workspace, on your admin.
Menu names change. OpenAI's help article on MCP apps in ChatGPT has the current screens and says who can add a server.
- Open Plugins. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins.
- Add a custom MCP server. Click +, then Add custom MCP server.
- Enter the link. Name it Mindbody and enter https://studiovector.io/mcp as the server URL.
- Choose OAuth. If ChatGPT asks how the server signs you in, choose OAuth, then accept the warning about custom servers.
- Sign in. Sign in with Google when StudioVector asks.
What can ChatGPT do with Mindbody?
ChatGPT can look up clients, classes, sales, attendance and memberships, and it can rank who may not renew or who could take an open spot. Every Mindbody request costs 1 credit.
What can't ChatGPT do with Mindbody?
Right now, ChatGPT cannot book classes, edit client records, or send email through StudioVector. It answers when you ask. It does not watch your site and message you when something changes.
It can draft a message or an invite for you to send yourself.
What do you do if ChatGPT cannot reach your Mindbody data?
Start with the message the tool returns: it says what is missing and what to do next. Then check these common causes.
- ChatGPT has no option to add a custom MCP server
- Availability depends on your plan and, in a workspace, on your admin. OpenAI's help article says who can add one. Ask your workspace admin if the option is missing.
- The tools say no studio is connected
- Connect your Mindbody Site ID from Sites in your account. Only an account owner or admin can do it. When it is done, ask ChatGPT again. You do not need to remove and re-add the connection.
- The tools say there is no active subscription
- The account owner subscribes or renews on the pricing page. Then ask again. The connection stays as it is.
- The tools say you are not part of an account
- Sign in with the Google account that belongs to your studio's StudioVector account. If your studio already uses StudioVector, ask the account owner to add the email of that Google account.
- Sites shows Waiting for approval
- The studio's business owner has to approve the connection in Mindbody. They open the activation link and sign in with the owner login, or enter the activation code under Manager Tools → Mindbody Add Ons → API Integrations. Then choose Check status on Sites.
- The activation request expired
- A request that nobody approves expires. Submit the Site ID again to start a new one.
- Sites shows Needs review
- Some connections are checked by us before they are granted. Email contact@22labs.io with the Site ID.
- ChatGPT says the credits for this period are used
- Your plan includes a monthly amount of credits, and 1 credit is 1 Mindbody request. When they are used up, Mindbody tools stop answering until the period renews or the plan changes. The account_overview tool shows credits used and left.
What should you ask ChatGPT first?
Ask which classes are under half full, or who is likely to take an open spot. ChatGPT calls the StudioVector tool and answers from your site. It can draft an invite. Today it does not book the spot.
To link the activation code to your studio, follow Mindbody's guide to setting up an API integration. For a plan question, email contact@22labs.io.

Common questions
Do I need a Mindbody API key to use ChatGPT?
No. You approve access through Mindbody after you connect your Site ID. StudioVector does not ask you to paste an API key.
Can ChatGPT change my Mindbody data?
Not today. The StudioVector tools do not book classes, edit client records, or send email. The assistant can draft a message for you to send yourself.
What if I connect before I pay?
You can add the MCP URL first. Mindbody tools stay unavailable until the plan is paid and a site is connected. You do not remove and re-add the connection after you pay.
Which ChatGPT plans can add a custom MCP server?
It depends on your plan and, in a workspace, on your admin. OpenAI's help article lists who can add a custom MCP server, and its screens change over time.
