How do you connect Claude to Mindbody?
You connect Claude to Mindbody in StudioVector by signing in with Google, subscribing, connecting your Site ID, and adding https://studiovector.io/mcp in Claude. Every studio uses that URL. You do not create or paste a Mindbody API key.
Updated
What do you need before you start?
You need a Mindbody site, a Google account, and Claude. StudioVector holds the Mindbody connection. You approve it from your account after you subscribe.
Mindbody tools stay unavailable until the plan is paid and a site is connected. Today the tools do not book classes, edit client records, or send email.
How do you connect Claude?
Add https://studiovector.io/mcp in Claude, then sign in with Google when Claude asks. Every studio uses this URL. In Claude Code, run: claude mcp add --transport http mindbody https://studiovector.io/mcp
- Sign in. Sign in with Google. That creates your account.
- Subscribe. Pick Solo, Starter or Growth and pay. Enterprise is Talk to us.
- Connect a Site ID. Enter your Mindbody Site ID, then approve the activation code in Mindbody. We never ask for your Mindbody password.
- Add the link. Add https://studiovector.io/mcp in Claude or ChatGPT. Every studio uses this URL. Sign in with Google when it asks.
How do you add the link in Claude?
Claude adds a remote MCP server as a custom connector, under Customize, then Connectors. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an organization owner adds the connector first.
Menu names change. Anthropic's guide to custom connectors has the current screens.
- Open Connectors. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Add a custom connector. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Enter the link. Name it Mindbody, enter https://studiovector.io/mcp as the server URL, and click Continue.
- Sign in. Choose Sign in now, sign in with Google when StudioVector asks, and click Add.
- Turn it on in a chat. In a chat, click +, choose Connectors, and turn the Mindbody connector on.
What can Claude do with Mindbody?
Claude can look up clients, classes, sales, attendance and memberships, and it can rank who may not renew or who could take an open spot. Every Mindbody request costs 1 credit.
What can't Claude do with Mindbody?
Right now, Claude cannot book classes, edit client records, or send email through StudioVector. It answers when you ask. It does not watch your site and message you when something changes.
It can draft a message or an invite for you to send yourself.
What do you do if Claude cannot reach your Mindbody data?
Start with the message the tool returns: it says what is missing and what to do next. Then check these common causes.
- The connector is added but Claude does not use it
- Connectors are switched on for each conversation. In a new chat, click +, choose Connectors, and turn the Mindbody connector on.
- You cannot add a custom connector on a Team or Enterprise plan
- On Team, only Owners can add connectors, under Organization settings, then Connectors. On Enterprise, Owners, Primary Owners and custom roles with Manage access to Libraries can. After that, each member opens Customize, then Connectors, and clicks Connect, so Claude only sees what that person can access.
- The Free plan will not take another connector
- Anthropic limits Free plans to one custom connector. Remove another connector, or upgrade, to add this one.
- The tools say no studio is connected
- Connect your Mindbody Site ID from Sites in your account. Only an account owner or admin can do it. When it is done, ask Claude again. You do not need to remove and re-add the connection.
- The tools say there is no active subscription
- The account owner subscribes or renews on the pricing page. Then ask again. The connection stays as it is.
- The tools say you are not part of an account
- Sign in with the Google account that belongs to your studio's StudioVector account. If your studio already uses StudioVector, ask the account owner to add the email of that Google account.
- Sites shows Waiting for approval
- The studio's business owner has to approve the connection in Mindbody. They open the activation link and sign in with the owner login, or enter the activation code under Manager Tools → Mindbody Add Ons → API Integrations. Then choose Check status on Sites.
- The activation request expired
- A request that nobody approves expires. Submit the Site ID again to start a new one.
- Sites shows Needs review
- Some connections are checked by us before they are granted. Email contact@22labs.io with the Site ID.
- Claude says the credits for this period are used
- Your plan includes a monthly amount of credits, and 1 credit is 1 Mindbody request. When they are used up, Mindbody tools stop answering until the period renews or the plan changes. The account_overview tool shows credits used and left.
What should you ask Claude first?
Ask who may not renew, how full this week's classes are, or how last month's sales compared by location. Claude calls the StudioVector tool for that question and answers from your site.
To link the activation code to your studio, follow Mindbody's guide to setting up an API integration. For a plan question, email contact@22labs.io.

Common questions
Do I need a Mindbody API key to use Claude?
No. You approve access through Mindbody after you connect your Site ID. StudioVector does not ask you to paste an API key.
Can Claude change my Mindbody data?
Not today. The StudioVector tools do not book classes, edit client records, or send email. The assistant can draft a message for you to send yourself.
What if I connect before I pay?
You can add the MCP URL first. Mindbody tools stay unavailable until the plan is paid and a site is connected. You do not remove and re-add the connection after you pay.
Which Claude plans can add a custom connector?
Anthropic says custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. Free plans are limited to one. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector first, then each member connects.
