How do you connect Cursor to Mindbody?
You connect Cursor to Mindbody in StudioVector by signing in with Google, subscribing, connecting your Site ID, and adding https://studiovector.io/mcp in Cursor. Every studio uses that URL. You do not create or paste a Mindbody API key.

What do you need before you start?
You need a Mindbody site, a Google account, and Cursor. StudioVector holds the Mindbody connection. You approve it from your account after you subscribe.
Mindbody tools stay unavailable until the plan is paid and a site is connected. Today the tools do not book classes, edit client records, or send email.
How do you connect Cursor?
Add https://studiovector.io/mcp in Cursor as a remote MCP server, then sign in with Google when Cursor asks. Every studio uses this URL. Do not paste a Mindbody API key.
- Sign in. Sign in with Google. That creates your account.
- Subscribe. Pick Solo, Starter or Growth and pay. Enterprise is Talk to us.
- Connect a Site ID. Enter your Mindbody Site ID, then approve the activation code in Mindbody. We never ask for your Mindbody password.
- Add the link. Add https://studiovector.io/mcp in Claude or ChatGPT. Every studio uses this URL. Sign in with Google when it asks.
How do you add the link in Cursor?
Cursor reads remote MCP servers from an mcp.json file. A server entry needs only its URL.
The mcp.json file holds a URL, not a Mindbody key.
- Open the config file. Create or open ~/.cursor/mcp.json to use the server in every project, or .cursor/mcp.json inside one project.
- Add the server. Add a Mindbody entry under mcpServers with the shared URL.
{ "mcpServers": { "mindbody": { "url": "https://studiovector.io/mcp" } } } - Turn it on. Open Customize in the sidebar and switch the Mindbody server on if it is off.
- Sign in. If Cursor shows a sign-in for the server, sign in with Google.
What can Cursor do with Mindbody?
Cursor can look up clients, classes, sales, attendance and memberships, and it can rank who may not renew or who could take an open spot. Every Mindbody request costs 1 credit.
What can't Cursor do with Mindbody?
Right now, Cursor cannot book classes, edit client records, or send email through StudioVector. It answers when you ask. It does not watch your site and message you when something changes.
It can draft a message or an invite for you to send yourself.
What do you do if Cursor cannot reach your Mindbody data?
Start with the message the tool returns: it says what is missing and what to do next. Then check these common causes.
- Cursor does not list the Mindbody tools
- Check that mcp.json is valid JSON and that the url is exactly https://studiovector.io/mcp. Then open Customize and switch the server on if it is off.
- The tools say no studio is connected
- Connect your Mindbody Site ID from Sites in your account. Only an account owner or admin can do it. When it is done, ask Cursor again. You do not need to remove and re-add the connection.
- The tools say there is no active subscription
- The account owner subscribes or renews on the pricing page. Then ask again. The connection stays as it is.
- The tools say you are not part of an account
- Sign in with the Google account that belongs to your studio's StudioVector account. If your studio already uses StudioVector, ask the account owner to add the email of that Google account.
- Sites shows Waiting for approval
- The studio's business owner has to approve the connection in Mindbody. They open the activation link and sign in with the owner login, or enter the activation code under Manager Tools → Mindbody Add Ons → API Integrations. Then choose Check status on Sites.
- The activation request expired
- A request that nobody approves expires. Submit the Site ID again to start a new one.
- Sites shows Needs review
- Some connections are checked by us before they are granted. Email contact@22labs.io with the Site ID.
- Cursor says the credits for this period are used
- Your plan includes a monthly amount of credits, and 1 credit is 1 Mindbody request. When they are used up, Mindbody tools stop answering until the period renews or the plan changes. The account_overview tool shows credits used and left.
What should you ask Cursor first?
Ask for one client's membership and recent visits, or for last month's sales by location. Cursor calls the StudioVector tool and answers from your site.
To link the activation code to your studio, follow Mindbody's guide to setting up an API integration. For a plan question, email contact@22labs.io.

Common questions
Do I need a Mindbody API key to use Cursor?
No. You approve access through Mindbody after you connect your Site ID. StudioVector does not ask you to paste an API key.
Can Cursor change my Mindbody data?
Not today. The StudioVector tools do not book classes, edit client records, or send email. The assistant can draft a message for you to send yourself.
What if I connect before I pay?
You can add the MCP URL first. Mindbody tools stay unavailable until the plan is paid and a site is connected. You do not remove and re-add the connection after you pay.
Where does Cursor keep the Mindbody connection?
In mcp.json: ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or .cursor/mcp.json inside one project. It holds the URL, not a Mindbody key.
